Having recently read and thoroughly enjoyed Sam Blake's previous book featuring feisty Dublin detective Cat Connolly, In Deep Water, I am really looking forward to reading No Turning Back. This very short excerpt sets the scene for another promising police thriller - power, corruption, intrigue and one very upset female detective who has just lost out on a promotion which she justly deserved in favour of the prime minister's nephew!
