The prologue is superbly written. I felt the same cold air as the character, the same gut feeling of something awry and grabbed my attention. I immediately want to know what will happen to the girl.
The switch to different characters in a police setting means you know right away there will be loads of little details pieced together to get a real sense of what happened.
