WOW! this book shocked me in many ways... it truly shows the pressure put on a girl and how the emotions are portrayed i guess....
I felt sympathy for the girl. she cannot fully rant to anyone. her mother is always working or caring for her other sister; who had a baby at 14.. it represents child birth too and how having a child young ruined her chances of another career and difficulty in school..
at the same time we see her best friend who is angry at her but then wants to truly help her... we see the other side to the story as her best friend does not want to hang out with her- she may not want to deal with her problems. it brings awareness to rape aswell.
