I really enjoyed 'I am Pilgrim' but was a little anxious about reading something that sounded quite similar in plot, and was also a scarily contemporary thriller.
Well, I can confirm, it was similar, but in quality- I could not put it down. It moved swiftly from one location to another, but without losing pace or causing confusion.
Characters were well drawn- I loved Marc Dane and found him extremely appealing, neither Superman nor Geek, he was totally credible. Lucy, was intriguing, with enough of a mystery about her to be interesting and not just a hard nosed, cold female, which seem to feature so often at the moment.
James Swallow, unsurprisingly, has obviously done his research, and it really shows in his accurate descriptions of places/situations .
It is an extremely visual story, and I can see it being made into a very successful film.
