I picked this up because of the recommendation for fans of I Am Pilgrim. I wasn't disappointed. It starts off with a shocking bomb explosion in Barcelona and doesn't stop in its ability to engage the reader from then on. Although it can get very technical in its language, once you get used to the jargon it's very hard to put down. The pace is just right and the twist and turns kept me interested the whole way through. The book's relevance is particularly poignant at the moment with the terror attacks all over the world and it has the ability to remind us of our mortality and the work going on to protect our country and others behind closed doors. The protagonist Marc Danes is the underdog who you can't help but root for right from the beginning. A thriller definitely worth a read!
