Read this one early February 2017 and enjoyed it a lot. I am an Avid fan of this sort of book Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp and Ben Coes protagonist Dewey Andreas etc.
The hero of this novel Marc Dane is of similar ilk although it doesn't start off like that. Dane was part of the 'backroom' staff, the guy that stays in the van with the monitoring team-not a field agent.
When his team is killed by nuclear terrorists Dane is forced to become the hunter and hunted in equal parts. With the help of a covert force known as Rubicon and their agent, Lucy Keyes ex US Army< Dane gets the help he is lacking from his masters at MI6. Possibly betrayed by those same spymasters, Danes and Keyes must stop the terrorists.
