This book had many ups and downs for me. Some parts are excellent but sadly some are long winded with far too much unnecessary details that slowed the story down. The character of Marc Dane is a good one, however I felt that you don’t get to know enough about him as a person. The ending of the book is gripping with vivid descriptions given by the author.
The sticker on the front of the book says for fans of I Am Pilgrim. This book for me sadly is not as good as I am pilgrim and is some way off it. The pace is far slower and the story is not as thrilling.
In summary, whilst I enjoyed the story, this isn’t a book I would either return to and will probably forget soon. This is a shame as the book had real promise.
