I was really surprised when I read this book as, although I'd read some good reviews, I'd also read some true stinkers. However I enjoyed it thoroughly. There are several threads to the story in the early pages but they're not confusing and obviously they all link together in a short time. Our main character, Marc Dane, is one of the techies in a special unit in MI6 who is set up to be the bad guy when he is the only survivor when the operation the unit is carrying out is ambushed.
Marc sets out to clear his name and find out who the traitor is and, needless to say, gets involved in all kinds of action throughout. I liked Marc as he's not your usual action hero type and Lucy's character works really well with his. Yes, lots of stuff stretches credibility to the extreme but isn't that what these kind of books are meant to do.
I will absolutely read more in this series and indeed I see the next book is already out so I'll look forward to reading that.
