Upon first glance, Norma is an intriguing book, not only due to the beautiful cover but the premise of the book is unusual. Following a woman with magical hair who sets out to figure out the real cause of her mothers death. To start out with, I was intrigued by the premise and couldn't put the book down, determined to figure out the reasons behind the hair and the death. However, about halfway through the book, the author brings in diary entries and video tapes (spoke about as if they are diaries) and it was at this point that I lost all interest. The writing style soon became long winded and boring. I stopped connecting to the characters. I got fed up of the constant mention of magical hair, it felt like the author was constantly reminding me of the main plot point unnecessarily.
