This is a beautifully written book, the author has a really lyrical style which is very compelling but quite hard to read at times too. Enjoyment is the wrong word to describe it, given the subject matter but it was a powerful read and I really want to know the rest of the story. I found the switch between narrative voices a little jarring at times but Eve, Oliver's mother, is a powerful character and I would like to see the story unfold.
