Hooked from the first sentence normally means I've discovered a book that I won't be able to put down....there are so many questions I want to ask but I know will be answered as the pages turn.
The characters are introduced as a seemingly average American family but obviously what happens shatters their world and implodes on their future.
The author writes beautifully and makes the reader identify with the characters from the first page, the Loving family, Oliver, Charlie, Jed and Eve. Family dynamics are always intriguing and I felt there was a suggestion of frustration, rivalry and discontent in the family.
