Intrigued to find out what happened to Oliver Loving and his family but found the writing style and story delivery to be a bit ponderous.
The plot has a lot of potential but I got bored reading the first chapters and started to skim read. I think the author could have given a little away about the events of the fateful November night he was alluding to.
The descriptive ability of the writing style was, for me, a little intense. Maybe my mind set was wrong when I started reading.
The book cover seemed to be a metaphor for the lost in time, locked in Oliver. The sadness that his condition and circumstances created made him a character that elicited empathy for him, his family and the wider community.
Might try to read the book if it comes to my local library in the future.
