A powerful story about black motherhood, and our relationships as women

I'd love to read more! The first pages really intrigued me and set the scene of quite a dark and sensitive subject matter in an engaging way. The book so far seems to focus on what it means to be black, female and a mother. I expect it will delve deeply into these experiences, and be a rich, character-driven tale and I'm definitely interested.
