This book is so cleverly written and the plot woven so intricately through the world building and story telling that I wanted more from reading the first three chapters.
I want to find out what happens to Maw Maw and Ruby. Even though the book is set so long ago, before midwifery became such a common practice, I found it intriguing the way Maw Maw practices her craft so similarly to home birthing practitioners nowadays.
