How can I say anything about this wonderful story, the way it written captures the time that it set in and it important to learn about segregation and how it impacted people lives. This book brings the story more alive by capturing the story and making the characters more alive, I love the characters of maw maw ruby and her role as a midwife. Definitely adding this to be tbr, I also like the cover of the book as it shows the main character knowledge of being adopted so she wondering who she is and where she come from.
