By the time I'd finished reading the three chapters included in the First Look, the author's powerful, evocative writing had captured my imagination and I knew I wanted to find out more about all these characters. I'm sure I'll find it a disturbing and heart-wrenching story to read but the topics it tackles are just so important and relevant.
I have to admit that I don't find the cover particularly appealing so I'm glad to have been able to read these early chapters otherwise I might have missed out on a 'gem'!
