What can I say about this masterpiece of a story, the writing is a masterpiece and wonderfully written the plot and characters are so beautifully written,and after reading some of her other books this one was no exception.
The story and narrative depicts the themes and brings to light the the themes of misogyny and racism within American society ( both past and present). And bring to light the classism of black and white communities. The characters are beautifully written and shows their studdles such as racism, prejudice, adoption. It brings the studdles of these women while they are complex characters while not all Nessary all good, the author describes their experiences and studdles in their while they do their best in their circumstances, the male characters are ok I didn’t really connect to any of them unlike the female characters
