This is a very powerful book, and one of those books that are so important to read. It is split into three parts, each following a different woman. Usually I am not the biggest fan of this because it can get confusing or I find that i prefer one person over the other, or find one boring etc. which can bring down the whole novel. However in this case, I thoroughly enjoyed every story in this and I felt like each one was important and necessary for this novel. i was intimidated by the size of this book but its worth it to push through as the story is so moving and powerful.
I also found it very interesting that all the characters are morally gray - or they were not fully bad but also not fully good - its what made them feel so human and real.
i do wish the pacing was better and faster, i felt that at times the book definitely dragged. however, overall this book was brilliant.
