I am hooked already! Right from the start we are left wondering as to who the mysterious dancer is. Then the introduction of the characters has made me want to learn more about them. Why did Raymond loose contact with his mother and how will Nancy fare at the Buckingham? The descriptions within this extract have enabled me to paint a vivid picture in my mind of the opulent hotel.
