Wordy and lacking substance
This genre and style rarely appeals to me.
A period-type drama set in a ballroom in the 1930's introduced a couple of master ballroom dancers working to suit clients and teach them dance.
However this first impression is really weird, yes it paints a picture of the times and the glamour but it's sooo wordy and doesn't actually say very much. Even the bits that I think are suppose to be setting up the plot are rambling and repetitive.
It's great to be detailed and set the scene but it kinda gets in the way of grasping anything about what this book is about.
Loved the cover though
