This is such a stunning debut novel. I had really high expectations after reading an excerpt from this book and I was not disappointed. The novel is so beautifully written, the writing is exquisite and so captivating. I really found myself immersed in the story which was so realistic. Dancing is of course a key feature in this book and both the characters' and authors love for it shines throughout the novel. The characters as well were really intriguing and compelling and I could connect with most of them. Overall I cannot fault this book, I might have to re-read it because it was just that good. I hope to read more from Anton Du Beke as he is such a brilliant writer!
