I loved this book! I have to admit to being a little suspicious when I first read it, as I wondered if it was just another celebrity trying to use their name to get people to buy their book, but I was very pleasantly surprised!
Nancy and Raymond are such endearing characters but with their own flaws so they're not saccharine-sweet. There was plenty of interest with side stories going on, and lots (but not too much) detail about other characters too. It was obviously very well thought out and I loved learning about life in hotels in the 1930s, it seemed authentic to me so I'd hope it's at least vaguely historically accurate! It was good to have events like the Cable Street riots and the King's abdication mentioned as it made the story seem even more true, as if you were reading a memoir of someone who worked in a hotel at that time instead of just fiction.
I'd recommend this book to anyone!
