I have to say I was dubious when I read the preview of this, being a tad cynical about celebrity authors and not a strictly viewer. However, I was hooked right from the outset. The characters were believable. The setting was perfect - the decadence of the twenties was everywhere. Yet it was full of twists and turns; social pressures, judgements an undercurrent of rising fascism mixing with characters coping with very real social taboos of the time. I felt that it was written very sympathetically and very cleverly- I certainly didn't expect the twist of who was one which side.
To conclude, I didn't want it to finish. Bring on the sequel Anton!! We need to know what happens next! Highly recommend!
