I am a huge fan of SCD and Anton du Beke in particular. However, I approached this book with a little trepidation. I know he can dance, but could he write? I need not have worried, this book was a little slow starting but, once it got going, it developed into an excellent read. The characters are well written and the plot moves at a steady pace. The description of life in the hotel is believable and the characters are sympathetic. Once it got going, I thoroughly enjoyed how the story developed. There are a couple of twists and turns along the way. The main characters are believable and the secondary characters are all well-imagined. All-in-all, an enjoyable read. Recommended.
