This book is pure magic.

Set in London in 1936, we see the hustle and bustle of life at the Buckingham Hotel. It’s grand and luxurious with a whole range of guests, including royalty.

I really enjoyed this book and found it difficult to put down. It was enchanting. I found myself desperately wanting to be Nancy’s friend and I also found myself charmed by Raymond too.

The plot was well developed and engaging. I found myself desperately wanting to read the second. I’ve already read the third thanks to winning a prepublished copy from Readers First. Part of me wishes I had read them in order. However, this didn’t detract from the delight of the first book.

The words on the page literally sparkled. I genuinely thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve bought copies for family for Christmas because I know they’ll love it just as much as me.

Now onto the second book!
