im sorry to say this but i really really did not like this book! i love anton du beke as a person so really wanted to love this but unfortunately did not!
my main issue is that i found like there wasnt really a major plotline towards this story? and i hated how anton du beke used the characters full names so much throughout the story? it really really distracted me from what was meant to be the plot - but three times on one page? seriously?
i really did try to like this but it simply was not for me.
i normally love historical fiction and romance so historical romance seems like a winner for me but this was seriously a major flop unfortunately will be giving antons du bekes other books a miss because if im honest i am seriously surprised that i got all the way through this book without giving up - but on a plus note love the cover of this book! but im afraid thats all i like
