I really warmed to this book. I very much enjoy period drama, both on the television and in books. The romance of dancing round the grand ballroom is so appealing. I enjoyed the description of the dancing and costumes. I could see it all as if it was real. Paid dancers, readily available for the rich and famous.
I felt for the character of a young woman on her first visit to London. Leaving home and taking on a job in the big city must have been very daunting. She was in awe of the opulent surroundings and was probably lost in her own day dreams. Being nieve and shy, I'm sure she will get into some scrapes. Hopefully though, she will have some fun along the way.
