I'll admit that, like many people I suspect, I only picked this book up because I love Strictly and Anton Du Beke, and I was curious to see if his writing was even close to being on par with his wonderful dancing. I was very pleasantly surprised how much I ended up enjoying it in its own right.

Set in a fabulous London hotel in 1936, and focusing (of course) on the hotel's beautiful ballroom, this debut novel totally transports you to a different time and place. I found that once I started reading this it was very hard to put it down and step away from the wonderful world Mr Du Beke so skilfully created! The characters are wonderful too, totally believable and oh so readable. A fantastic book that left me wanting more.
