I really enjoyed this book! Caroline Bond is a really emotive writer. She’s absolutely packed a punch with this novel.
Following the lives of very normal teenagers, one evening ends in complete disaster. We then see the aftermath for the duration of the book. There’s a party, there’s a crash and there’s a death.
I found myself on the side of all the characters at different points. We see the many ways people are affected by grief and loss. This was written in a particularly poignant way.
I really liked the main character, Harry. Silent and thoughtful, he feels nothing but guilt for what happened. He’s mature and suffers the consequences of his actions quite rightfully.
This book is a testament to the importance of time and what it can do for people.
