I absolutely loved this book, although the subject matter was difficult at times the excellent character development and the resulting relationship this builds between the reader and the characters keeps you turning the pages.

I read this in a 24 hour period and really struggled to put it down.

One moment in time, a car crash and so many people’s lives are changed beyond recognition. There are so many discussion points that this book raises, drink driving, teenage relationships, betrayal, loyalty, grief, fear and organ donation. In other books I have critisized too many themes and the confusion this can cause, but Caroline Bond has weaved such a tale that I didn’t feel like it was too much here. The emotions are raw, the characters Are wholly believable and likeable and frustrating at times, as is real life.

There are lessons for each and everyone of us in this book, as well as several hours of gripping reading entertainment, enjoy!

I was kindly provided with a free copy of one split second by Readers First in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
