I love this style of writing! It automatically pulls you into the intensity of the plot and this anticipation that everything is not to be trusted or as it seems. From these previewed chapters, I'm already questioning myself in these character's positions and my own opinions of my own friends, let alone the character's friends. I like how realistic but traumatized by life, in a sense, the characters are. Already, I relate to the characters' anxieties, especially Sal's, as I think the worst of situations. I believe that the author fleshed out our most desperately painful worries about the ones we love and only when we are in that position, will our true opinions about other characters come out. I love how chapter 3 has ended because I'm left contemplating the different perspectives of the parents and their agonizing grieving and I think of the lives of the children.
