Wow! What an opening. I need to read the rest of this book!
I've never read any of Caroline Bond's work before but her style of writing is effortless and just hooked me in immediately. I love the fact it's such an easy reading style with short chapters and a slow reveal of each character.
The start of the book felt believable and well paced. It has a horrendous opening, which I wouldn't wish upon anybody. It's the last thing anybody wants to witness.
This feels like it will be an emotional read. When the start is this powerful and evocative, it can only get better! I need to find out how the characters react to this event. Even the start shows how different our reactions can be to the same event.
This is definitely one I'm interested in reading!
