This was a story of grief and loss.

It starts with a car crash, where four local teenagers are seriously injured. The parents are all called to hospital and we are led through their fear.

One of the teenagers, Jess, dies of her injuries, and Harry, the driver goes to prison for careless driving under the influence.

The first half of the book is about the process of grief and the need for the parents to find out what happened and the only one who was able to tell them - at least at first - was Harry.

This is where the book was a little disappointing. There was so much build-up to finding out what the 'truth' was that I was expecting some major twist which never happened.

There are a lot of characters, who all have to deal with the aftermath of the accident, and this book guides you through their individual journeys.
