When news of a car crash spreads through the town, parents quickly dial their kids phones, determined to find out where they are. Most are relieved to hear their children's voices, but 5 parents are not so lucky - their children do not answer the phone.
I was drawn straight into this story, completely blocking out everything that was going on around me. I needed to know who was in the crash, what happened, everything. When the sample stopped, I stopped. I needed a moment to reflect on the story and the writing I had just experienced. The style was beautiful and gripping.
We were thrown a lot on name in the first few chapters though so I had to try remember who was who, but I feel like the more you read the book the more you will remember each story.
