Charting the grief and anger parents feel at the loss of their child with sensitivity that compels you to keep reading on. The characters make you love them, admire them, despise them - a mixture of all three. What must be any parent's worst nightmare makes for uncomfortable reading at times as one tries to empathise with them. Caroline Bond encapsulates the whole gamut of feelings whilst exploring the moral justifications of people's actions. The action moves at a quick pace, even when, for the characters, life is monotonous. It fascinated me to be clearly shown a situation from different people's perspectives - it makes one ponder how they might feel if it was them. And those feelings vacilate. Definitely one to get into.
