A standard recipe of going on holiday to a beautiful island and it all goes wrong. Even though this is exhaustively tried and tested it still packs a punch if it's done well, which seems to be the case here. One difference is that while a lot of these stories have more of a 'trouble in paradise' narrative, this one seems to have a bit of a negative backdrop as well. This could either coalesce well with the more nail biting parts of a thriller or make the experience a bit too 'heavy' (at least for my liking) . I like the cover which has an idyllic picture with a dark surrounding. A good and accurate depiction of the mood expected to be found within. As a fan of thrillers I'd definitely give it a go
