Well for a 17 page extract that's the least amount of reading i've ever had, only 5 pages of the book so not exactly much to get your teeth into.
My first impression from the cover was that it probably wasn't going to be for me, i wouldn't have picked it up in a bookshop but the blurb certainly had me intrigued. Didn't get much more from the extract - a body is found by the coast then we jump to a mother getting ready to go out for the first time in a year since they lost one of their daughters. Not sure at this stage how the two different scenes are related, but am now intrigued to find out more and need to read more than 5 pages of this story.
