I enjoyed reading "One Year Later" and thought it was very well written. The book is mainly written from the perspective of Amy, whose younger daughter has died in an accident one year previously, and Nick, Amy's brother. The family has fallen apart since Ruby-May died and they decide to take a holiday to Italy to try to start rebuilding their relationships with each other. The story has an interesting plot with lots of twists and turns as we start to uncover what really happened to the little girl. There are several interesting and believable characters and the story explores several of the different emotions the characters feel and the ways they respond to their grief. Overall, while the topic of the book is very sad it made for a very good read.
