This was a fast-paced novel with so many twists and turns, it made it near impossible to put down!
You're instantly hooked from the first chapter needing to know what happened to little Ruby-May and why the family are so broken after all those years.
The trip to Italy, although seemed so idyllic, left a sense of dread in your stomach throughout their time there - you know something is going to happen and you need to find out why.
Every single character has a secret of their own, most of which they are doing selflessly, however, in the long run, they have caused so much detriment to the whole family unit.

The novel concludes really well... approximately 40 pages before the ending of the book... It felt as if the author had a word count they needed to reach and the ending wasn't as tidy as I would've liked.
