Approaching the first anniversary of Amy and Matt's 2 year old daughter Ruby-May, Amy decides that she can't spend this time at home and so arranges a family holiday to an island in Italy. Amy doesn't want her father there as she blames him for the death of Ruby-May. Nick, her brother, decides it is time to bring the family together and brings him to the villa. Amy, Nick and sister Bethany have never had an easy relationship with him since childhood. The week is filled with much sadness
and recriminations and you are left wondering what really happened to Ruby-may and who was responsible for her death. The story is told from Amy and Nick's view of events, which gives a good insight to all the characters. I couldn't put this book down, it was exciting with many twists and turns but sad because of the broken relationships in the family. Would highly recommend
