I had really high hopes for this book. The summary looked like it would be a book that was right up my street so I felt like it would be a great read.

After the first couple of chapters I felt like my gut instinct would be correct, it seemed like the story had a bit of everything. The characters of Amy and Mark seemed like there was a lot of back story there, the relationship with their dad and siblings.

However, the story then began to drag a little bit and seemed to just miss out several key bits to me. I found myself wanting the book to end which is rare. The relationship with their father seemed to just be glossed over.

The front cover of this book doesn’t reflect the story. I wouldn’t have picked this up in a book shop.
