Disappointing

After really liking 'Her Mother's Secret', I had high hopes from Kay's 'One Year Later' and the book had seemed interesting from the extract and blurb. Unfortunately, this book just didn't connect with me. I didn't care for any of the characters and I felt very detached from them.
The mystery didn't really feel suspenseful and I honestly forgot that there was meant to be a mystery in the first place. I didn't really care for the big reveal though I will admit I didn't see it coming but I was so disconnected from the book that reveal actually annoyed me. I thought that most of the characters seemed quite generic to me and I kept confusing who was who.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this.
