The novel begins with a dead corpse of a young woman being found on a beach by a man from Italy. Which, to be honest does not really fit the blurb at all and left me a bit confused.
The main character is Nick (Amy’s brother) although I would think that Amy would be the main character. The choice of writing style was a bit odd. Nick’s POV was in first person, meanwhile Amy’s POV was in third person. A bit of a weird combination of you ask me.
Nick suggests that they all go on a holiday, for them to resolve their griefs.
This novel constantly jumps from the past to the present day.
I felt that it was easy to connect with the characters. And although, the book was a bit slow at first, I did end up enjoying it in the end
