I thoroughly enjoyed this. It tells the story of a family almost torn apart by a tragic accident. On the first anniversary of little Ruby-May's death the whole family take a trip to Italy in an attempt to make things a little easier to bear. The truth of what actually happened a year earlier is gradually revealed with many twists and turns and family secrets revealed along the way. I liked how the story alternated between being told by Amy and Nick; I always find books written in this way easier to read. The book portrays the different relationships and tensions well and also reveals how people react differently to grief. It is quite sad in parts but quite hopeful in others. I would definitely recommend it.
