I read this book and had to confess, I read it all in two long sittings as I didn't want to put it down! The story is about a family one year after their child has drowned. It starts of about Amy, the mum who is grief stricken, but then her brother tells most of the story, which I found unusual. It also switches between the present and one year ago when the accident happened. I like the way the story is told, between what the family members thought had happened, to what the brother discovers really had happened. This switching makes the suspense build and build, right up the end. The characters are very believable and the story is very readable. The story is not so much about grief but about family dynamics and secrets that don't stay buried. I like that even at the end, all of the family secrets haven't been revealed to everyone. I really enjoyed this book!
