i enjoyed this book - the first I've read by this author.
Yet another book about a group of people living together in a villa away from home in order to commemorate a shared event in their past. In this case, the Flowers family are together on a small Italian island to remember the accidental death one year earlier of 3 year old Ruby-May. The only problem is that Ruby-May's parents hold her Grandad responsible for her death and, although not invited on the holiday, he turns up anyway.
I found it a little difficult to get to grips with initially as there were quite a lot of characters and relationships to sort out and it didn't help that some characters were referred to by both their full names and their nicknames (Bethany/Bee) however once I knew who everybody was, the plot just raced along right up to the unexpected twists at the end.
Well deserves 4 stars.
