In these difficult times we all need a bit of escapism and this feelgood romance by Kate Eberlen fulfils that perfectly. Once again, as in her first book Miss You, the author returns to Italy as the setting for Only You. This time she takes her readers to Rome rather than Florence and portrays this city equally well. If you've been there you'll recognise it, if not you'll feel you're there with Letty and Alf, the two main characters. Letty and Alf are both English although Letty is from London and Alf from Blackpool. They are both in Rome and meet when they enrol at a language school. Alf is intrigued by Letty and it's clear he would like to get to know her better but Letty is remaining a little aloof from her fellow students. In the first chapters the author tells the readers about their first days at the language school and a bit about their lives in England. The readers are told that dancing was an important part of both Letty and Alf's lives in the past and this could well bring them together. Only You gets off to a great start and I'm confident that it will just get better and better. Looking forward to reading the rest of this book and discovering if Kate Eberlen has a romance and maybe even a happy ending in store for Letty and Alf.
