This story does a good job of setting the scene. I felt that just from the few pages in the first impression I was getting a sense of the character and their personalities.
The scene setting was fairly good too, not too overboard but I could picture Rome and the itallian setting, having visited Rome I think helped as it doesn't go overboard but I could easily imagine it.
Unfortunately that is all I could say that I appreciated. The actual plot from the blurb and opening pages makes me fairly sure this isn't a read for me.
I also found myself getting a little confused at the ages of the characters already and I don't find this type of story, or the hints in the blurb at all to my taste. It also seems a bit simple?
