What a book! Thoroughly enjoyed Kate's first book and this one is even better! Told from the point of view of several people, chapter by chapter (my favourite style of writing), we are whisked off to the beautiful city of Rome, with all the wonderful sights, particularly helpful at the moment when we are all stuck at home! Descriptions of the food also made my mouth water.
Alf and Letty are two wonderful characters, who you quickly warm to and really care about. I raced through this book in just a couple of days, reluctantly having to stop to make family meals and sleep. I found myself thinking about the story in-between reading sessions and also for days after I had finished the book.
Can't wait to find out about Kate's next book.
