This book is essentially a very modern love story split into three different parts.
The story starts off in Rome with two young characters, Alf and Letty. I wasnt too sure if I was going to enjoy this book as in part one there is conversational Italian but as you progress you find it actually adds to the story and there is a reason behind it.
Alf is a likeable, easy going character and Letty is initially very guarded but you do grow to like her as part one of the book progresses.
The only slightly frustrating part of the writing is there are lots of hints at deeper issues and back stories but you just have to wait until part two when everything is revealed and everything slots into place.
What I loved about this book was that part one is very romantic with a shocking climax. Part two is quite surprising and explains a lot although you dont like Alf and Letty characters so much and part three you wonder how it can possibly come together but it does. A great read and kept me hooked
